Privacy Policy — Gil Reyes Scoring Academy

Gil Reyes Scoring Academy is a training and certification academy for baseball scorers, with an international reach. Data controller: Gil Antonio Reyes Romero, ABN 14 658 900 302, trading as Gil Reyes Scoring Academy. Contact: contacto@gilreyesscoringacademy.com. The data controller is registered in Australia, and this policy is governed by Australian law.

• Account data: name, email address, password (stored encrypted).
• Profile and academic progress data: enrolled courses, completed classes, certificates earned.
• Payment data: handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
• Data specific to the National Professional Scorer Certification Program (Criollitos de Venezuela): national ID number, phone, state, League, role within the organization — needed to verify eligibility and coordinate certification with Regional Directorates.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, via first-party and third-party cookies (see section 6).

• Create and manage your account, enrollments, and course progress.
• Process payments and enrollments (including Membership and the National Professional Scorer Certification Program).
• Send you necessary communications about your account or courses, and — only if you opt in — news and promotions.
• Deliver downloadable content (videos, forms, resources) and measure its use.
• Show advertising through Google AdSense (see section 6) to help fund free access to part of the content.
• Comply with legal obligations and respond to competent authorities when required.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Infrastructure providers operating the site on our behalf: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and authentication), Bunny.net (video delivery).
• Payment processors, to complete your transactions.
• Google, through Google AdSense, for ad delivery (see section 6).
• Criollitos de Venezuela Regional Directorates, only regarding registration data for the National Professional Scorer Certification Program, to verify your eligibility and coordinate certification.
• Public authorities, only when required by law.

Your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including the United States and the European Union, through our infrastructure providers. These providers maintain internationally recognized security standards.

We use first-party cookies necessary for the site to work (keeping you logged in, remembering your language). We also use Google AdSense to display ads; Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to show you ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can:

• Disable personalized ads at Google Ads Settings.
• Read how Google uses data from sites that use its services in its privacy policy.

Some downloads (videos, resources) require watching an ad before they unlock; this is optional — you can always choose not to download instead of watching the ad.

Registration on the platform is intended for adults (or teenagers under the supervision of a responsible adult, in the case of students in regular courses). For the National Professional Scorer Certification Program with Criollitos de Venezuela, those who register do so in adult-responsibility roles (scorer, umpire, board member, delegate, coordinator) — the Academy does not directly collect data from child players.

You may request at any time: access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your account and data (except what we must retain for legal or accounting obligations), and objection to the use of your data for personalized advertising. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and database-level access control (Row Level Security in Supabase) to protect your data. No system is 100% foolproof; we recommend using a unique password and not sharing it.

We may update this policy as our practices or applicable law change. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
